Using a blog format to house ongoing experiments and links to data is not very useful. For the last year or two, I’ve been using a local wiki installation as a lab notebook, which has been a great success, except that it’s not available for public viewing.
As an experiment, I’m seeing if moving to an “open lab notebook” concept on Wikispaces is workable, given that it has no offline support and math support is rudimentary compared to Instiki with itex+MML.
